Work in Progress [3D DESIGN]

While i’m looking for a job i have been creating some small pieces of work to keep me amused and to keep my portfolio updated.

I’m currently creating a 3D model of a Volkswagen Caddy MK1, which is a personal interest, but will also demonstrate the level of detail i can produce within 3Ds Max. Currently i have just started the design and there is still a large amount of work to complete.

I started with a blueprint of a VW Caddy:

Once i set the blueprint within 3Ds Max i then started modelling the body of the car starting with the driver side wing. Using plane-modelling i then extruded the wind outwards and altered the shape using polygon editing to mimic the shape of the blueprint. Similar techniques were used for the rest of the design including box-modelling.

The wheels are a custom design, half replicating retro style wheels but with a modern twist. Below are some of the latest screen shots which show the progress of the design.

Looking for Work

Turns out i was unsuccessful at Benchmark Communications. Though i managed to complete every task they gave me, be on time, well dressed, you know… everything a employer looks for these days.

I guess it’s appropriate to say i don’t have the best of luck when it comes to getting a job.

Anyways, i’m on the lookout for a job / career so contact me if you can help.

Preferably within the design sector, though i’m more than keen to tackle any role put in front of me.

Waiting on the Verdict!!!

I’ve completed my trial at Benchcom, and now await the verdict..
Will I be employed? or will I been surfing the job market again ?
I sure hope it’s not the latter of the two… only time will tell.

I feel I done well, certainly done everything that was asked of me, and seemed to ask for more work on many occasions.
Unless of course the quality of my work was not up to standard, though with a little guidance from the Head of Media I can improve upon all my attributes

Trial & Benchmark Communications

I started a trial at Benchmark Communications Wednesday for a 1 week period.

At Benchmark my role is a Multimedia Designer which includes a wide range of design roles from posters, logos, websites and much more.

I enjoy working as part of the Benchcom team and I am keeping positive about the impact on the company i’m having.

University Results – First Class Honours

I received my grades recently from University and was excited to see that I successfully achieved a First Class Honours Degree within BSc Multimedia Computing.

I believe the grade reflects the effort that I applied to my studies along with the amount of time I reserved in order to carry out the work. Now, i can look forward to the future and apply for vacancies providing my newly acquired qualification.
